CHOOSING YOUR BASE

Cannes or Golfe-Juan: where to stay

Choose your base by the evenings you want, not just the sights you plan to visit. Central Cannes and the Golfe-Juan area offer different ways to spend the same coastal week.

Cannes can be simpler for city plans. Golfe-Juan may suit a stay built around the house, with trips along the coast.

Neither town name guarantees quiet. The exact street and your daily journeys matter more.

When central Cannes wins

Choose an address near your destinations if you expect repeated Palais visits or late dinners in Cannes. Being able to walk back removes the need to plan a return train. Check the accommodation’s actual location: a Cannes address is not automatically close to the Palais.

For a couple spending most evenings in town, that convenience may outweigh having a private pool. There is no reason to choose a quieter base if you will rarely spend time there.

A short train ride is only one part

Direct trains from Golfe-Juan-Vallauris to Cannes take around 5 minutes. Cannes station is about 5 minutes on foot from the Palais. These are separate legs, not a door-to-door time from the house.

Add your walk to the station, waiting and the return journey. Check services for your dates in both directions.

Confirm the train stops at Golfe-Juan-Vallauris, especially after an evening out. Rail works can change the plan; a short journey does not guarantee a late service.

Check the address and the pool

Look at the street, station access and the walk home before booking. Ask the host about slopes or steps if mobility matters. Do not assume a coastal address means a level route.

A shared pool and a pool private to guests are different offers. Check heating and seasonal use rather than assuming them. Redhouse’s pool is private to guests; this guide makes no promise of heating or year-round swimming.

Does this house fit your stay?

The house sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac above Golfe-Juan. It has a terrace, a private pool and parking with an EV charger. These suit days with time at home, not just overnight stops between city plans.

There is 1 mezzanine bedroom with a 160 × 200 cm bed, a living-room sofa bed and 2 bathrooms. The maximum is 4 guests.

Two couples would not have separate bedrooms. Read the room-by-room house page before deciding.

For coastal outings, the Antibes train guide helps plan another part of the week. Check availability, the final price and the full house rules on Airbnb. Booking and payment happen there.
