Cannes congress accommodation: a quiet house for four

During the big Cannes weeks — MIPIM in March, the Film Festival in May, Cannes Lions in June, MIPCOM in October — the town fills to its edges. Hotels are booked months ahead, and the rooms that are left change character: small, expensive, and a shuttle ride from anywhere you would actually want to be in the evening.

There is another way to house a congress trip, and it is not an apartment block or a serviced studio. It is this house: a quiet red house with a private pool above the bay of Cannes, at the end of a cul-de-sac in Golfe-Juan. It sleeps four, it has two bathrooms and parking with an EV charger, and it is booked exactly the way any Airbnb stay is — nothing to arrange on this site.

One house instead of four hotel rooms

The house takes four guests. The bedroom is a double, 160 × 200 cm, on the mezzanine; the sofa bed in the living room carries the rest. For a team of three or four colleagues, that is one listing, one bill and one front door — instead of four rooms in four corners of the town, each at congress-week rates, each its own receipt.

The shared parts are the argument: an open kitchen and a long oak table for a working breakfast, two bathrooms so the mornings move, and a covered terrace over the pool where the day’s debrief happens in the open air. Two people, or one visitor with a partner who sees more of the coast than of the Palais, have the house to themselves.

Down the path, onto the train

The house sits above Golfe-Juan, and a path leads down through the pines to the sea and the train station. The coast line runs straight into Cannes centre in minutes in one direction, Antibes in the other — which turns a congress week into something closer to a normal life: sessions in town, evenings back above the bay, no car needed for either.

If you do come by car, the house has its own parking space, with an EV charger — a rarity at the price of a congress week anywhere in Cannes, and the reason the last hundred metres of your trip are a quiet cul-de-sac rather than a garage ramp.

Book the congress weeks early

The calendar makes the case by itself: MIPIM, the Festival, Lions and MIPCOM are fixed weeks when the whole coast is short of beds, and the houses closest to the train line go first. The best weeks book first — if your congress dates are known, book as soon as they are, not in the month before.

Everything happens on Airbnb: the calendar, the exact price for your dates, the booking and the payment. Congress weeks are priced accordingly, and the number you see on the listing for your dates is the real one. Check-in is from 15:00 to 22:00, check-out before 11:00. The host is a Superhost with a listing rated 5.0 across 37 reviews; for anything unusual — a company name on the booking, a longer stay around two events — message the host directly on the listing.

The other half of the week

A congress week in a hotel is corridors and a minibar. In a house, the evenings are yours: the pool before dinner, the terrace with the Esterel across the water, a walk down through the pines to the sea when the sessions end early. Some of the best congress conversations happen on terraces like this one, with nobody’s badge in sight.

On a free afternoon, the coast is close without being crowded: the old port of Golfe-Juan still runs boats across to the Lérins islands, and Antibes and its old town are one stop along the same line the congress train came in on.
